New Home For St. Elizabeth Orthodox Mission

As of mid-March, St. Elizabeth Orthodox Mission, after 13 years of wandering has gotten a new home. With the purchase of a parish house and a building that can be renovated into a church sanctuary, St. Elizabeth has a permanent location. The photos above show the parish house and the new building on E. Cherokee Drive. On Saturday, March 13, a Work Day was held at the new property to ready the parish house for Fr. Frederick and Pani Sue, who plan to move in by May 1. The following day, March 14, an open house was held at both locations. In the photo above, Fr. Frederick shares some ideas with St. Elizabeth parishioners. Thanks to Fred Mileshko for the photos.  We shall keep progress updated with photos on this page.

Welcome to Our Parish!

Welcome to Orthodoxy - Preaching the Truth for 2000 Years

Welcome to the home page of Saint Elizabeth Orthodox Mission parish.  We are a parish of the American Carpatho-Russian diocese of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.  Our ruling hierarch is His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas.  Our diocesan see is in Johnstown, PA.  The Cathedral is Christ the Saviour.

As a parish we are dedicated to spreading the Good News of the message of Jesus Christ.

Our parishioners come from many different ethnic and religious traditions but all of us share in the belief in Jesus Christ and in the Apostolic Traditions that have been handed down through our Bishops for the last 2000 years.  Because of our varied heritage, we are truly Pan-Orthodox and we have embraced many wonderful traditions.

We meet for Sunday Liturgy at Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel in Woodstock and at a chapel adjacent to the parish house for all other services.  Should you have any questions, please contact Fr. Frederick by telephone at 770-485-0504 or Email at fr.frederick@comcast.net
